The Million Dollar Question: What is Bamboo Vinegar?

Bamboo Vinegar contains over 200 ingredients (80-90% of which is water), all are of a natural composition, and safe for human use. The ester content can easily permeate and bring nutriment to the deep tissues and also disinfectant effect in sterilizing the skin.

The acetic acid in Bamboo Vinegar will soften the skin cuticle and has a wonderful effect for skin care relieving dermatitis, itch, athlete's foot etc.

Bamboo Vinegar is a byproduct of bamboo carbonization with herbal properties with the ability to assist in the discharge of unnecessary waste matter and toxins from human body. Bamboo Vinegar has also been used in health food/drinks, cosmetics, skin care, medicines and horticultural products.

In Japan, Bamboo Vinegar is known as chikusaku or chikusakueki, which is derived from the smoke of bamboo carbonization process(making of bamboo charcoal).
It's widely believed the Sumiyaki (the one who makes the bamboo vinegar) has no disease due to its effectiveness in disinfecting and sterilization.

Recently, bamboo vinegar has drawn the attention of medical researchers for the treatment of dermatitis, diabetes and other human maladies.

Apart from Bamboo Vinegar, other partnership of herbs are added in Herbaniq (Sabun Ajaib) handmade soap, on why these herbs are choosen are listed below.

1) Aloe Vera (not added in CHT Sabun Ajaib Basic Tesco)

The useful parts of aloe are the gel and latex. The gel is obtained from the cells in the center of the leaf; and the latex is obtained from the cells just beneath the leaf skin.

Aloe might cause changes in the skin that might help diseases like psoriasis.

Aloe seems to be able to speed wound healing by improving blood circulation through the area and preventing cell death around a wound.

It also appears that aloe gel has properties that are harmful to certain types of bacteria and fungi.

2) Peppermint (added in all Sabun Ajaib series)

Peppermint has been used by many ancient cultures, including the Egyptians, Chinese and American Indians, no doubt because of its extremely useful health-promoting properties.

It is an anti inflammatory and an antiseptic qualities thats make it a good oil in the treatment of indigestion, flatulence, bad breath, flue, catarrh, varicose veins, headaches and migraines, skin irritations, rheumatism, toothache, and fatigue.

3) Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil (added in all Sabun Ajaib series)

Eucalpytus has been distilled from at least 1788 when 2 doctors, John White and Dennis Cossiden for treating chest problems and colic.

It is anti inflammatory, antiseptic. antibiotic, diuretic, analgesic and deodorizing. Research has proved its antiviral properties as well. It is best known for its effectiveness against coughs and colds but is equally effective in the treatment of cystitis, candida, diabetes, and sunburn, while also being useful in veterinary care and as an insect repellent.

4) Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil  (added in all series of Sabun Ajaib)

Better known as Tea Tree Oil, with an antiseptic action is thought to be one hundred times more powerful than carbolic acid - and yet it is non poisonous to humans!

Its impressive antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties make it useful in a wide range of conditions for the treatment of candida, and all sorts of infections, for ringworm, sunburn, acne, athelete's foot, toothache, and pyorrhea, among other things.

5) Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (added in all Sabun Ajaib series)

Native Americans extracted the oil from jojoba seeds to treat sores and wounds. The collection and processing of the seed from naturally occurring stands marked the beginning of jojoba domestication in the early 1970s.

Jojoba oil is found as an additive in many cosmetic products, especially those marketed as being made from natural ingredients. In particular, such products commonly containing jojoba are lotions and moisturizers, hair shampoos and conditioners. The pure oil itself may also be used on skin, hair, or cuticles.

6) Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil (added in all Sabun Ajaib series)

Calendula species have been used traditionally as culinary and medicinal herbs.Calendula oil is still used medicinally. The oil of C. officinalis is used as an anti-inflammatory and a remedy for healing wounds.

Plant pharmacological studies have suggested that Calendula extracts have antiviral, antigenotoxic, and anti-inflammatory properties in vitro. In herbalism, Calendula in suspension or in tincture is used topically for treating acne, reducing inflammation, controlling bleeding, and soothing irritated tissue.

7) Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil (added in all Sabun Ajaib series)

The main chemical constituents of Apricot Kernel Carrier Oil are: Oleic Acids, Linoleic Acids, Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E.

Used topically, Apricot Kernel Carrier Oil works to moisturize dry, sensitive skin and to smooth out blemishes, wrinkles, fine lines, and other symptoms typical of maturing skin. Its high level of unsaturated fatty acids makes it non-greasy, and its combination of Oleic, Linoleic, and Linolenic acids helps relieve and prevent acne. Those with nut allergies, who want to experience the healthful properties of oils such as Sweet Almond Carrier Oil, can benefit from substituting it with Apricot Kernel Oil, a lighter, enriching alternative that is ideal for use on mature skin. This non-irritating, soothing oil is easily applied topically, as its thin consistency allows it to absorb quickly but penetrate deeply into the skin, leaving it looking and feeling smooth and soft.
Used medicinally, Apricot Kernel Carrier Oil works to soothe problems related to stiff and aching joints as well as symptoms of cold, cough, and constipation. It is often also used to address the problem of hair loss when massaged into the skin and hair. Applied to itchy, chapped, wounded, or sore skin, it facilitates faster healing without leaving a greasy residue. It is ideal for use on acne-prone skin or skin afflicted with eczema and can be added to natural homemade moisturizers for the face and the body.
